Sustainable development goals

Abstract

Con la expresión “economía colaborativa” se hace referencia a los nuevos sistemas de producción y consumo de bienes y servicios surgidos gracias a los avances de la tecnología de la información para intercambiar y compartir dichos bienes y/o servicios a través de plataformas digitales. Sin embargo, muchos estudios apuntan que la economía colaborativa tiene poco de este adjetivo pues tales plataformas no comparten ni la propiedad ni los beneficios con los usuarios que son quienes generan valor dentro de ellas. Surge así el “platform cooperativism”, movimiento que propugna que las plataformas sean propiedad de quienes proporcionan los recursos que las hacen funcionar -ya sea en forma de trabajo, bienes o como consumidores-, que se gobiernan de forma democrática y que reparten beneficios entre sus copropietarios productores-consumidores. Es la extensión de los fundamentos de las cooperativas a las plataformas colaborativas; una manera diferente de hacer “sharing economy”.
