Resumen

The term tempus is frequently employed by Orosius. In his Historiae, he deals with the comparison between happiness in pagan times and in Christian ones (praeteria tempora, christiana tempora). In the same way, he understands the history of Rome from the «four universal monarchies» scheme inherited from Daniel; or from a biological point of view, according to which, his age corresponds to an old world, to a Roma senescens. In his Liber apologeticus, Orosius pays attention to the relationship between time and God, who he qualifies as autor temporum, and he insists on the divine order of times.
