Resumen

This investigation offers the evolution of the labour segregation by gender in Spain during the period 1996-2007. To that end, the data of the National Classification of Occupations and of the National Classification of Economic Activities offered by the Survey of Active Population (EPA) of the National Institute of Statistics (INE) have been used, which were analyzed across diverse segregation rates. The results reflect that, though diverse factors that could make us think the opposite existed, the occupational segregation between men and women increased throughout this period.
