Resum

Introduction: Dental adhesión of the materials is closely related to the formation of a proper hybrid layer. In addiction to the adhesive, the use of a hydrophobic resin layer can improve the adhesión properties. Objective: To compare marginal microleakage at composite restorations in class II cavities according lo the adhesive and with or without a hydrophobic resin. Materials and methods: The experimental groups were adhesives without hydrophobic resin (Prime & bond NT" y Excite F DSC®) and adhesives wiih hydrophobic resin (Xeno V*® and AdheSE One F*).The degree of microleakage was assessed using a scale of penetration of the coloring from O to 3. Results: Self etch adhesives have worse outcomes Üian acideiching adhesives. Conclusión: The use of a hydrophobic resin produce an improvement in micorleakage.
