Abstract

There is a phenomenon, not well known, with the coexistence of circumstances likely to end in deaths that appear to be “inexplicable”, from a forensic perspective. These are cases where the subject externalizes an agitated and confused behavior, starring in events must intervene and the police must be subjected to physical reduc- tion by the latter. Most of the cases concluded successfully, that is, the purpose intended and moving to the clinic, where she receives appropriate care is achieved. However, in an undetermined percentage of them, culminating in the death of the subject without any objective findings postmortem to determine a definite etiology, so register as deaths subject to judicial autopsy. In these cases, since there has been direct action of use of force by police officers, the dynamics of their performance becomes real decisive element face their responsibility in a subsequent trial.
