Resumo

Health tourism in Spain is much localized. Also in the spanish peninsular southeast. In recent years, health tourism begins to renew their infrastructure, but requires more renewals, from acquisition of greater diversity of users, including foreigners, to the dissemination of enclaves and diversification into complementary activities. Among these activities is the cultural tourism. Administrative institutions and Government are trying to improve and promote a patrimonial legacy of undoubted appeal. There are implanted examples of tourism diversification (routes that complement the tourist variants of health and cultural) which already show good results. This paper proposes a new tourist route that starts from an area of sun and beach tourism (dominantly in the southeast of Spain), which includes thalassotherapy centers, and continues to visit the inland spas in two provinces (Murcia and Albacete). This tour offers the attraction of a valuable natural and cultural heritage, legacy of the complex regional history.
