Resumen
Structural methodologies for systems depvelopment , specially those one based upon Tom De Marco's and Gane y Sarson's version, are at present widely spreaded and accepted in international information systems enviroments; However, in Spain this generalizated use has not yet arrived, althought and increasing spreading and use is detected. These methodologies have been mainly used both for describing and communicating the information systems requirements, analysis and design, particulary computer based information systems. In this paper, we present a short description os Structurated Analysis methodolog in accordance to Tom de Marco and also a short survey about one of the many CASE tools related to Structured Analysis: "Structured Architect" of Meta Systems, Inc. Aftewards we present an original application of Structured Analysis to the design of an EAO educative course, which is considered as an information system, relating to the teaching of the UNIX operating system for end users. This course and the related EAO modules is being designed and implemented in the Deparment of Computers and Automation in Murcia University. There is at present an operative prototype on IBM-PC AT model. The EAO modules have been implemented in C language under UNIX system V operating system.
