Resumen

The structure and ultrasfnieture of the ACTH cells of the adenohypophyseal rpars distalis. in kids of the Murciano-granadina breed (18 m&s and 12 femaies) has becn studied, aged 2-3 months and with an average weight of 8 kg. ACTH ceils are a 1618%. They are locaiized in the upper middle of the gland, leaving free the vascular or sex zone in sagital section and show and homogeneus distribution in hasversal section. Their average size is 13.84 pm in males and 14,7J km in feaales and Wir morphology is v d b . With electron mlcmswpy three cellular types have been found with regad to the distribution asid amount of secretory gmwies, endoplasmic reticulum and Goigi Complex. Type 1 cells prcsent less granules l0dm.d periphericaiiy aimd a great pnular endoplasmic reticulum development; type 111 cells pregant more graaubs distributed al1 over the cytoplasm and a lower development of granular endoplasmic reticulum; type 11 4 s pmsent intermediate characteristics. Spherical secretory granuies have a mean diameter of 293 nm in males and 318 nm in femalas.
