Résumé

The present research study analyzed the association between training time and spinal morphotype of the sagittal plane. A transversal study, in which 81 trampoline gymnasts participated (39 females and 42 males) with an average age of 15+465 years and an average training duration of 655+4 years, was done. The evaluation of the sagittal plane of the spine was executed in three positions: relaxed standing, full forward trunk flexion, and slumped sitting. The dorsal and lumbar curvatures were differentiated in all positions. For the measurements, an ISOMED Unilevel-95 inclinometer was used. Participants fulfilled a socio-demographic questionnaire relative to the training. With regard to the lumbar curvature, the results indicated that, the lumbar lordosis increased when standing whereas it decreased in trunk flexion and slumped sitting. However, no relation was found between training volume and dorsal curvature values.
