Resum

Description of me fichen vegetation growing on the rain tracks of siliceous Mediterranean rocks (the surfaces where rain or dew collect and flow). The particular conditions of water and nutrient availability, higher than that of neighbouring rock surfaces, are convenient for a narrowly specialised flora, which forms very original communities, rich in lichens with blue-green algae, such as Peltula euploca, Gonohymenia cribellifera, Lichinella stipatula, Peltula omphaliza, P. placodizans, characteristic of the new alliance Peltulion euplocae, described here. We recognize two associations, Peltuletum euplocae, mainly mesomediterranean, but reaching some exceptional spots in Central Europe, and Peltuletum obscuranto-euplocae, thermomediterranean. The former association is amended, and the latter one is newly described.
