Resumen
For a long time, the search for an ideal methodology for the teaching of languages has been a recurrent topic in this field. If we have a quick look at those methodologies used in the classroom setting, we can appreciate how the application of most of them has finally been considered a failure due to different reasons. In this paper we try to reflect that one of those reasons and, in our opinion, the most important one is the fact that the figure of the person who learns the language as well as the key role he / she plays in the learning process has almost always been ignored
