Resumen

This research analyses the influence of labour and family context on schema of gender and self-attributions. The participants were 107 employed mothers. The results showed, consistent with self-categorization theory (Turner, et al. 1987), significant differences in self-attributions and schema of gender depending on context, type of trait and favorability. In most cases women are androgenic although comparison made between family and professional contexts also indicates significant differences. Variables such as studies, age and number of children also show their influence on type of traits that women used in their self-attributions.
