Zusammenfassung

Since 2011, the research group of Ruminant Health of the University of Murcia andhave conducted the epidemiological surveillance of two caprine herds chronically infectedby Ma to better understand the dynamics of infection in the affected herds. Resultsobtained showed the validity of some molecular typing techniques as the analysis of thevariable number of tandem repeats (VNTR) or the mobilome (ICEs and IS) to study thedynamics of infection within the herd, and its validity to demonstrate the presence ofdifferent clones circulating in the same herd. The subsequent application of these new datacould be of interest to develop new diagnostic tools or control measures against CA.
