Resum
This paper is intended as a historiographical synthesis of the relation between AnaMaría Muñoz Amilibia and the Iberian-Contestanian site of Coimbra del BarrancoAncho ( Jumilla, Murcia). Using unpublished documents and testimonies from participantsin the archaeological fieldwork led by her. The excavation campaigns andteams directed by her (1977-1984) are contextualized in late 20th century archaeologyin Murcia. We explain the importance of Dr Muñoz in the development ofthe discipline in this region, and her role in turning Coimbra del Barranco Anchonot only into a solid scientific project, but a diversified and open archaeologicalfield-school.
