Resumen

The paper reports a study within the framework of EHEA on the strategies used to learn a non-nativelanguage by two Erasmus students whose visual conditions are different, by focusing on two skills: speakingand writing. We also intend to find out about the Erasmus programme at the University of Murcia since, withthe implementation of EHEA, it would be essential that it would work properly. The informants were twoEnglish Erasmus students, one of them fully-sighted and the other one blind, as well as an Erasmus tutor fromthe University of Murcia. By way of interviews, the study revealed that 1) these two students use differentstrategies –with no change as a result of the implementation of EHEA- to cope with these two skills, speakingbeing less difficult in the case of the blind student (although it is not always the case). 2) The Erasmusprogramme works properly at the University of Murcia, even for blind students, the role of the tutor beingessential. Based on the findings, some suggestions for future research are proposed.
