Resum

Profoundly Catholic Spain has relegated women to the cloistered confinement of sacristies and confraternities. In order to reach the level of participation they have today, they have fought a strong battle against incomprehension, marginalisation, contempt and a total lack of appreciation. We will analyse their achievements in a very masculinised environment and with a special misogynistic character due to the association of women with sin and temptation, of which there are still traces in the collective memory.
