Abstract

In this paper we revise the Bergstrom and Miller ‘s experiment (Bergstrom and Miller 2000, chapter 12) about adverseselection and suggest some modifications for improving how to implement it. The experiment setup had some problemsin replicating the theoretical results related to descentralized bargaining. We present some changes and recommendationsthat allow a better implementation according to the results. Both versions of the experiment have been run in an Intermediate Microeconomics course to be checked. The experiment promotes active learning and provides the students with a better understanding of the asymmetricinformation problems
