Abstract
The environment of the Baños de Mula (Murcia), is presented as a rural area in decline with poor economic development. However, it houses a rich geodiversity complemented by a wide historical and natural heritage, giving this area a remarkable tourist potential. Law 45/2007 for the Sustainable Development of the Rural Environment, advocates the creation of initiatives focused on the application of geological resources as a tool for conservation and sustainable development, in addition, geotourism is a booming tourism alternative that shares The objectives of this law.Starting from the absence of Management Plans in relation to geodiversity in this environment, this project suggest a set of proposal of adaptation and valuing to the geological heritage. The main objective is the creation of graphic resources that are attractive and simple, to be understood by all audiences. They will consist of 25 points of interest which will include explanations that allow understanding their geological content. These points are included in 5 itineraries along with location maps, slope graphics and images related to the stops. On the other hand, 8 information panels are proposed, located according to their accessibility and content. The generated material and tourist offers of the area can be incorporated into various media such as brochures or guides. In this regard, new technologies are of great support, since they allow the updating of the contents quickly and without costs in addition to facilitating access to information. For this reason, it is proposed the creation of a geovisor that will provide visitors with the necessary information to organize their visit, also serving as a tourist promotion tool.
