This work presents the preliminary results of part oj the interventions carried out in recent years in the area around the Rambla de Algeciras. The 2020 archaeological survey campaign was part oj the research and dissemination project for the Castellar-Murtal-Zancarrones settlement complex. The fieldwork has made it possible to review certain known settlements, as well as to identify a series of previously uncatalogued sites that point to the importance of this territory jrom Recent Prehistory to the Middle Age. These results have been completed by the occupations detected in the Guadalentfn River, in close connection with the settlements oj the Rambla de Algeciras, and which allow us to begin the analysis of these productive rural areas and their diacl1ronic evolution.
