Evolution of the forest surface in the region of murcia and importance of the afforestations in agrarian lands promoted by the PAC In this paper the evolutionary analysis of forests of the Region of Murcia, based on obtained from the 4 National Catalogues Data and your pertinent Forest Map of Spain (last half century). Also has collated data from afforestation in abandoned agricultural land in the Region of Murcia is performed, promoted by the new agri-environmental measures of the CAP, which took place from the mid- 90s until 2005. in our study has found that it has increased the forest area with degrees of cover in the last 20 years, through verification of the benefits of landscape and environmental interest that this agri-environmental measure entails.
