Resumo

Since 2002 the research group of Geology at the University of Murcia has been working on the inventory and divulgation of geological heritage of Moratalla, Township Northwest Region of Murcia which has an area of 961 km2. These investigations have shown that Moratalla has great quantity and diversity of geological sites, some international interest, give him one of Murcia municipalities with greater capacity for educational and tourist use based on geology. Disclosure of your geodiversity is being conducted mainly in the Internet portal of the Integra Foundation, called Digital Region of Murcia. For this website has been documentary film entitled “The Geological Heritage in Moratalla” which tells the geological history based on the major sites of geological interest. It is intended him to share the rich legacy of Gea and especially awareness in geoconservation.
