Resumen

In this paper a learning experience called “Lego” is presented. It has been developed for the Information Technology (IT) specialization inside the Computer Science Engineer Degree. The main objective of the experience is the definition of a coordinated strategy of learning activities for students that will be accomplished in different subjects. The cornerstone element of this coordination is a network topology with multiple elements, which is representative of real network environments. It can be adapted and extended taking into account the learning outcomes of the different subjects since it has been designed to be modular, and also to take into account the progression of the different students. In this work we introduce the main features, advantages and difficulties of this kind of initiatives in the IT context. We also outline some quantitative and qualitative results obtained in the last two years.
