Resum
Punta de Los Gavilanes is an archaeological site located in Puerto de Mazarrón, Murcia, which presents an occupation from II millenium BC to the middle of the first century BC. Its anthracological study has permitted to know the patterns about vegetal change on Mazarron coast during this long sequence and estimate the anthropic activity on this surrounding arid environment. The sequence shows the development of characteristic species of salinesoils as well as some Mediterranean taxa, which degradation was lesser than the actual one. The fuelwood supply was mainly provided from areas near the promontory though other farther areas could also give wood to Punta de Los Gavilanes population.
