Abstract

Background: Learning Mathematics is related to negative emotions and expectations. Students consider this is a subject more difficult than others. Difficulties with learning this subject, relate to students and teachers which play an important role on creating positive attitudes. Method: We applied a questionnaire about attitudes about the learning of mathematics and the opinion about teachers. Results: There is a connection between teacher´s attitudes and student’s ones. Conclusions: We must show a new methodology to activate positive emotions about subjects to learn. These methodologies will provide better academic results and emotional wellbeing.
