Resumen

Due to the controversy in Spain of the use of the term “Parental Alienation Syndrome”, it is essential to conduct a comparative study between psychologists that perform expert psychological evaluations for families, about both the knowledge and the use of such term as well as the psychological reports on this syndrome. Furthermore, the methodology used by forensic psychologists during these evaluations has been explored as well as the frequency of these situations given in family contexts. The results of the analysis show that psychologists are asked to write reports about the specific evaluations of this matter in a reduced number. Indeed, the professionals prefer other terms to refer of such situations
