Résumé
The fruit and vegetables sector of the Region of Murcia is the most important of the agrarian activity for the busy surface, for the volume of the production and for the value of the exports. It is also important for the employment that it generates directly in the tasks of field, and indirectly in other sectors such as transports. In Spain, according to the Department of Agriculture, Supply and Environment, this sector represented in the year 2014 59 % of the value of the Vegetable Agricultural Production and 34 % of the Final Agrarian Production. More than 400.000 working places, half of the agrarian employment in Spain, corresponded to the Fruit and vegetables sector. The group of fruit and vegetables products that are commercialized is very wide: citrus fruits, fruit trees of bone and vineyard of grape of table. The sector, it is one of the less subsidized from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), whereas the countries of the European Union are the main clients of these products. In his evolution, it has had an enormous importance the integration on the EU market and the participation of his regulation mechanisms.
