Abstract
The Early Intervention Team number 2 (EIT-2) from Murcia, which develops several actions aimed at children who have problems in development or who are in biological or social risk and their families. The main objective about this investigation is checking the influence of all these actions on mental development, after the first cycle of preschool education (0-3 years). The method of this investigation was “ex post facto” It means that we take the information after the intervention, and we analyzed a sample of 88 children. About the instrument, a mental scale which is called ´Scales of assessment of child development` which author is Bailey, second edition BSID-II. We compared the first result (when child are evaluated by EIT) and the last result (the last evaluation of EIT). With the two punctuations of test, we conduct student’s t-test, having as result statistically significant differences between the results of tests. Throw the results, it is possible to confirm that subjects which take part into early intervention programs, profit from the different actions carried out in terms of cognitive development. In conclusion, the mental progress of child is significantly better in the last evaluation than in the first on them.
