Resum

The high jump is a sport movement with high technical complexity. The purpose of the high jump is to pass-over a bar located at a variable height using a single support take-off. Understanding the causes and effects of the different movements and positions is an essential piece to improve performance. This paper reviews the mechanical principles involved in the actions executed in high jump (fosbury flop style).
