Abstract

This research shows how organizational culture involved in the process of companies adaptation to the global environment, promoting organizational alignment. It is based on the Resources and Capabilities View and the Organizational Alignment Theory. Case study has been applied as methodology. The invisible cultural elements predominate in the early stages of the process and invisible to the end, perfecting it. The culture that enables organizations to be aligned, the “enabling culture”, has as attributes the communication/information, participation, team, innovation, education/training, quality and efficiency. It acts with “hypertext structures” to achieve the strategic objectives of the vision.
