Abstract

The academic teaching and training system of university graduates has undergone a radical change in Spain. Industrial engineering has been no exception. In a few years, compared with over 160 years of existence of the degree, it has been a demanding, monolithic training and uniform in all the (few) Schools taught titration to a much more relaxed training acclimated educational centers and new educational methods. Regional centers have proliferated without experience, provided studies, diplomas and degrees in industrial engineering along with hundreds of self-proclaimed title "engineering". The current lineup of the future industrial engineer is very diverse and, like society, lax. The key question is: what should be the formation of an industrial engineer? Courses, programs, duration, level of demand... and how to fit the answers to these questions in the current legislative framework university teacher. Without fail we should approach this task. Meanwhile, it is possible to perform a comparative study between the (many) Curricula each other, which is presented in this paper along with a comparison of those with traditional training plans that industrial engineers have had to make a very few years back and how magnificent results for the profession, industry and society has achieved.
