Abstract
The archaeological excavation work carried out in the autumn aj 2020 in the late medieval Jewish quarter of the castle of Larca thanks to a grant from the CARM has made it possible to resume the research begun ten years earlier. in the area known as the Parque Arqueológico, and interrupted in 2013. On this occasion, the workfocuses on the UD Casa XVI, especially in the Espacio 33, and has allowed us to delve into different aspects related to the domestic structures of the neighbourhood and the characterisation of the material culture of the Jewish popu/a. tion in the 14th and 1 Sth centuries. This work presents the preliminary results of the archaeological fieldwork. At the same time, intensive laboratory work has been implemented. An in-depth analysis of different samples of archaeozoological, metallic, anthracological and carpological remains has been carried out. Innovative analysis of organic residues in wooden, glass and ceramic remains from the synagogue and di.fferent houses in the f ewish quarter were involved.
