Abstract

TripAdvisor is the world largest travel site, but the accuracy of its content is continually discredited, arguing a weak control system, which allows any individual to participate anonymously, damaging the system. This paper tries to clarify the doubts of many hoteliers and tourists around the world, wondering if it is reasonable to trust on this website. The results show that, in the case of hotels with a large number of reviews, TripAdvisor scores are quite reliable.
