Resum
The linear economic model consisting of "take - make - dispose" has reached its physical limits mainly due to the increased demand for raw materials and the associated high generation of waste. Due to this scenario, European Union promotes a Circular Economy model where the economic value of both products, materials and resources necessary for their manufacture, is maintained for as long as possible, minimizing the generation of waste through the development of more sustainable waste management strategies. Industrial waste with a high metallic content can be managed from the point of view of the Circular Economy, thus becoming secondary sources of raw materials. In this Doctoral Thesis, an industrial acid effluent with high metallic content has been selected and the objective of this work is to develop an effective methodology based on the application of adsorption technology through the use of chelating resins.
