Aprendiendo ética con simulación. Perspectiva de los alumnos sobre el aprendizaje experiencial y reflexivo de la bioética

The acquisition of ethical skills is a necessity in nursing. How acquired is debated. Clinical simulation could be the answer to the need for t rai n- ing. Objective.To evaluate the clinical simulation as a methodology of teaching and learning of ethical skills in nursing. Method. A quantitative study (survey) was carried out after 6 simulated scenarios with ethical content in three different groups of students of 4º of nursing (n = 30). The variables of the study were: previous assessment of ethical knowledge, learning, perception and emotions, content satisfactio n and preference. The study was conducted between March and May 2016. Each group consist ed of 10 students (5 teams of 2). The simulated situations were designed to contain ethical issues. Surveys were analyzed with descriptive statistics. Results. The students' perspective on their learning and acquisition of Ethical competencies with simulat ion was positive (high / very high scores in the different dimensions measured in the survey). The most valued content was "action on suspicion of abuse" and "protection of life versus principle of autonomy" and the leas t valued were "aspects on cooperatio n to evil" and "ethical suicide." Discussion. The competences explored in this work can be broadened and agreed upon in order to articulate a syllabus with clinical simulation as a model for working ethical aspects in nursing, as other studies h ave also sh own. Co n- clusion. The opinions of the students reinforce the use of simulation for the learning of ethics. The different responses of the students to the situations with ethical implications indicated the existence of contradictions between the way of actin g and the previous knowledge on the ethical issues.
