Influencias de las variable sociodemográficas y extrapenitenciarias en los procesos de victimización carcelaria

Fundamentos En España no existen estudios previos que relacionen los factores de riesgo sociodemográficos y penitenciarios con la victimización en prisión, siendo importante para mejorar el tiempo en prisión del recluso. Por ello, se realizó una encuesta de victimización en las 2 prisiones de Murcia (Murcia y Murcia II) para conocer los factores de riesgo vinculados a este fenómeno. Método A escala regional, estudio descriptivo transversal analítico donde se encuestó a 661 internos sobre un total de 1.391 con un margen de confianza de un 95% que llevaban en prisión más de 2 meses. Resultados Un 57% (n = 377) de los internos fue victimizado durante los 2 meses previos a la encuesta, siendo las agresiones verbales las más comunes con un 40,2% (n = 266) y las sexuales las menos habituales con un 6,5% (n = 43). Variables sociodemográficas como la nacionalidad, el desempleo previo o la existencia de conflictos familiares son variables estadísticamente significativas para sufrir victimización en prisión, al igual que la reincidencia delictiva o el consumo de drogas durante el internamiento. Conclusiones Existen factores de riesgo vinculados a la victimización en prisión y varían significativamente en función del perfil del interno; las variables analizadas son fundamentales a la hora de elaborar planes de intervención contra la victimización en este ámbito.
