Abstract
The aim of this study was to develop a bibliographical review of the scientific literature published on the relationship between Olympism and Physical Education in Secondary Education. For this purpose, a search was carried out in the bibliographic sources Scopus, Web of Science and Dialnet. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to the results obtained, leaving a total of 8 articles that were selected for the review. In order to establish some key aspects that should be present in this type of research, the guidelines of the PRISMA declaration were followed. Regarding the analysis of the documents, the source that presented the most articles was Dialnet and the scientific journals that provided the most articles were Citius, altius, fortius and Diagoras International Academic Journal on Olympic Studies. Results remark that the implementation of educational programmes based on Olympic values contributes to an increase in motivation and a decrease in violent behaviour in schools. Education should be based on Olympism, as it enhances moral competences in terms of judgement, reasoning and intentions, improving moral development, respect and coexistence among students. Furthermore, it is concluded that Olympism can be used as a tool to promote inclusion and diversity in schools. The Physical Education teacher plays a fundamental role in teaching these values and putting them into practice, with a direct transfer to the student's daily life outside the school.
